How can this
resource help?

This four-part curriculum offers a bold and thoughtful response to antisemitism by drawing on Rabbi Sacks’ unique moral and philosophical voice. A passionate advocate for human dignity, Rabbi Sacks believed that “freedom and hatred cannot coexist.” He frequently taught that hate imprisons not only its victims but also those who harbour it. According to Rabbi Sacks, a society built on hatred is inherently fragile; only through respect, reconciliation, and a shared commitment to the common good can peace truly flourish.

The Letting Go of Hate curriculum is built on these ideas, offering students a deep, values-based understanding of antisemitism – its origins, its persistence, and it’s devastating impact. The programme consists of four sessions that guide students through key questions:

  • What is antisemitism?
  • How do stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination affect Jewish communities?
  • How has antisemitism evolved – and how does it manifest today?
  • What can students do to combat antisemitism and hate more broadly
